Dr. Joseph M. Zehentner

Joseph M. Zehentner, DPM, AACFAS is a board qualified podiatric surgeon born and raised in Eastern Long Island. He received his undergraduate degree from Quinnipiac University with a Major in Biomedical Science and Minors in Chemistry and Microbiology. He graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors.

Dr. Zehentner earned his doctorate degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan, where he was greatly involved in teaching students and holding various education positions. Dr. Zehentner was a volunteer at multiple community medical events and a part of the medical team at the NYC Marathon.

After receiving his doctorate degree, Dr. Zehentner completed a comprehensive podiatric surgical and medicine residency at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical center in West Islip, NY. During his training, he served as Co-Chief Resident and received advanced training in reconstructive forefoot, rearfoot and ankle surgery. He also completed the ACFAS Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy surgical skills course, the Bako Podiatric Dermatopathology Fellowship, and Podiatry Institute Forefoot surgical skills course.

Dr. Zehentner is a driven, passionate, and well-trained podiatric physician who cares about his patients. He takes the time to thoroughly explain a diagnosis, treatment, and plan to all of his patients. His interests include sports medicine of the lower extremity, trauma, diabetic wound care, and elective surgery.
